Micah Challenge Haiti aims to mobilize protestant and evangelical churches and organizations, as well as the government, to take their responsibility in achieving the Millennium Development Goals. At the same time Micah Challenge aspires that churches, organizations and the government can understand more about Integral Mission. Micah Challenge organizes a campaign for all churches, the government and the people in their communities.
Micah Challenge Haiti has 2 objectives:
- Deepen the engagement of the Haitian national and local church with impoverished and marginalized communities.
- Challenge leaders of Haiti, international leaders and leaders of both rich and pour countries to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
In November 2006 Tearfund launched Micah Challenge Haiti, together with a large representation of all protestant ministers in Haiti. A committee of 13 evangelical and protestant organizations is responsible for Micah Challenge Haiti.

Activities Micah Challenge Haiti
- Organize a tour of 100 pastors’ leagues around the country to explain the Micah Challenge and the Millennium Development Goals.
- Organize an advocacy training campaign in churches around Haiti to touch 1500 leaders (done in combination with Activity 1).
- Organize a series of training seminars for 25 theological seminaries and Bible Schools on integral mission.
- Promote Micah Challenge and the Millennium Development Goals through a media campaign involving 50 radio stations, 10 TV channels, 10 newspapers, etc. around the country.
- Get the 1500 participating churches and organizations involved in the international Micah Challenge advocacy campaign.
- Encourage further studies, discussions and action on education, infant mortality, HIV/AIDS, mother’s health and environment issues.

858 million persons around the world suffer from hunger
